Book review: Kingdom of the Wicked - Keri Maniscalco

Omg. Why did I wait so long to read KOTW?! It took only a couple of pages for me to be sucked into this book. I liked that in order to use their magic, witches had to use spells or herbs, bones and blood and stuff.  And wrath ‘sigh’.  Honestly, who doesn’t love a handsome demon prince who kinda gives the ‘If you touch her, I kill you vibes’ even though he acts like he is a stone cold, unemotional asshole a lot of the time. And the ending… I felt hurt. Betrayed. I could have seen it coming, yet didn’t want to see it coming maybe? Anyway, I hope the next book has some answers regarding this issue, because I’m not okay with Wrath’s sudden behavior change at the end. Emilia made some not so smart decisions that could have jeopardized her life on multiple occasions. Yet I couldn’t fault her for that. I mean her sister was murdered, keeping all these secrets, and it was up to her to find out what happened. I understand you get naive and desperate at some point to find answers...

Book review: Winter Fae Queen - Lexi C. Foss

Winter Fae Queen is a holiday themed Reverse Harem book with a HEA, so if that’s right up your alley, this might be the read for you!  What a fun read this was! The choice of words throughout the book was perfect and hilarious. Even though it’s a standalone, the story still had so much depth and character growth from end to beginning. I liked the characters a lot, and wouldn’t have minded if it were to be a series instead of a standalone. This book really did give me all the Christmas vibes and that I really liked!

Book review: These Hollow Vows - Lexi Ryan

Such a fantastic story! The storyline was great, the characters well written. Along the way there were many plottwists, which kept the story very exciting and kind of unpredictable. There were moments where Brie made some stupid decisions, which frustrated me, though some of these decisions made me feel sorry for her as well.  Brie had to do some things she felt bad about because she wanted to save her sister, but Sebastian treated her like trash just because he could.  The story did give me ACOTAR vibes, so I hope like Feyre Brie chooses the better guy.

Book review: A Court of Silver Flames - Sarah J. Maas

A Court of Silver Flames ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I was a bit hesitant to start A Court of Silver Flames even though I love anything Sarah writes. My foremost reason for this was my dislike for Nesta. I did struggle for the first half of the book with Nesta's behavior, but progressing further in the book I began to understand why Nesta behaves the way she does and near the end I actually started liking her to my own surprise. I'm also so happy I still got to read a lot about Feyre and Rhys and the other important characters. I have to say that at the end I really loved this book. Sarah's writing was, as always, phenomenal and transfered me to another world!

This book had everything I could have asked for, from the steamy scenes, the humor and all the action to the badass moments.   I have loved every page of this book and if it was possible I would have given it more than 5 stars!   Prepare your heart for this rollercoaster, you're gonna need it!
