Omg. Why did I wait so long to read KOTW?! It took only a couple of pages for me to be sucked into this book. I liked that in order to use their magic, witches had to use spells or herbs, bones and blood and stuff.
And wrath ‘sigh’. Honestly, who doesn’t love a handsome demon prince who kinda gives the ‘If you touch her, I kill you vibes’ even though he acts like he is a stone cold, unemotional asshole a lot of the time. And the ending… I felt hurt. Betrayed. I could have seen it coming, yet didn’t want to see it coming maybe? Anyway, I hope the next book has some answers regarding this issue, because I’m not okay with Wrath’s sudden behavior change at the end.
Emilia made some not so smart decisions that could have jeopardized her life on multiple occasions. Yet I couldn’t fault her for that. I mean her sister was murdered, keeping all these secrets, and it was up to her to find out what happened. I understand you get naive and desperate at some point to find answers. However, Emilia is a strong as well. She never gives up on finding her sisters killer and would do anything for the people she loved. Besides, she has seen multiple bodies of people that were brutally murdered, she was there when a demon slid her grandmothers throat and yet she’s still standing.
Anyway, Kingdom of the wicked was so good, I can’t wait to read kingdom of the Cursed next! Time to get some answers!
